APPLE PIE DUTCH (Juliette Huot)

Sweet pie

Ingredients

  • 4 apples
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup of icing sugar
  • 5 tablespoon of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup of flour
  • 1 tablespoon of levure en poudre
  • 1 lemon zest

Preparation

Step 1

1. Peel and slice apples and put on a plate and cover with icing sugar.
2. Soften butter.
3. Whip eggs yellow, brown sugar, icing sugar until foamy.
4. Add 1 tablespoon of lemon zest.
5. Introduce everything in the butter.
6. Whip the whites until peak forms and add one half to the butter mixture.
7. Introduce the flour gradually and the rest of the whites.
8. Pour in a greased pie plate and add slices of apples on top.
9. Bake at 400 for about 25 minutes.
10. When lifted, add icing sugar and put it back for another 10 minutes.
