Hamburger Chowder

A wonderful meal for cool fall or cold winter nights. I double and freeze some for a ready to go meal

Ingredients

  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 2 c canned tomato
  • 1 c chopped carrot
  • 1 c chopped celery
  • 1/2 small onion chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c barley
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 cups potato
  • tomato juice and boullion for taste

Preparation

Step 1

Brown hamburger, add remaining ingredients. Simmer over low/med heat 2-3 hours
