CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE

Ingredients

  • Filling:
  • 6 Tbs. melted margarine
  • 2 c. vanilla wafer crumbs
  • Combine & line springform pan. Bake at 350° for 5 minutes.
  • 1 lb. caramels
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. evaporated milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/4 c. chopped pecans
  • 4 oz. chocolate, melted
  • 2-8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened

Preparation

Step 1

Place caramels and evaporated milk in heavy saucepan. Cook on med. high until caramels are melted. Pour over crust. Sprinkle pecans over top. Set aside.
Beat cream cheese and sugar. Add eggs and melted chocolate. Mix well. Pour over pecans and smooth out. Bake 40 min. at 350°. Chill 4-6 hours before serving.
