"‘TIS THE SEASON" MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN

Ingredients

  • Mix following in microwave-safe bowl:
  • 4 qts. popped popcorn
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/4 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Microwave until boiling and then boil for 2 minutes. Mix in:

1/2 tsp. baking soda

Pour over popcorn in a paper bag and shake vigorously. Microwave for 30 seconds and shake. Microwave for 1 minute and shake. Microwave for 1 minute and shake. Pour into large bowl and break apart while it is cooling.
