Ingredients

  • 1 16 oz pkg bacon, cooked and chopped, and reserve drippings
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 stalks of celery, sliced
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 2 c rice
  • 3 c water
  • 1 t Kitchen Bouquet
  • 2 Ibs shrimp, cooked
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 10 oz can Rotel tomatoes

Preparation

Step 1

In a large fry pan, saute onion and celery, not the green onion, in the bacon drippings. Add water, tomato sauce, Rotel tomatoes, Kitchen Bouquet, and shrimp. Bring to a boil and then add rice. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Turn off the heat and then add chopped bacon and green onions.
