Mexichili Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 lb nground beef
  • 1 cup canned yellow kernel corn with sweet peppers
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 - 7 oz pkg cornbread rounds
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1-15 1/2 oz can chili con carne
  • 1 tsp Accent
  • 3 slices cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onions in butter or margarine until transparent; crumble beef and saute until beef just loses pink color.

Add chili, corn, Accent, salt, mixing well.

Heat ten minutes

Toast cornbread rounds. Mound beef-chili mixture on the bread.

Top with two crossed strips of cheese.

Broil two minutes or until cheese begins to melt.
