Turkey Casserole with Havarti Cheese
- 3 C diced cooked turkey
- 3 C cubed Frech or Ital bread, about 4 oz
- 8oz. shredded Havarti
- 1 Tbs flour
- 1 Tbs Dijon or Creole mustard
- 3 Tbs melted butter
- 4 large eggs, beaten
- 3 C milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Butter a 2 qt baking dish. Preheat to 350.
Place bread turkey, and cheese in large bowl. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, mustard, melted butter, eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Pour the milk mixture over the cubed bread, turkey and cheese; stir to blend. Let stand for 5 min. Pour into dish. Bake for 50-60 min, or until puffed and browned. A knife inserted in center should come out with very little liquid on it.
