Black Bean Picante Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 can black beans, rinsed & drained
  • 2 cans stewed tomatoes (I use 1 can rotel + fresh tomatoes)
  • 1 jar picante sauce
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 T OO
  • 1/4 t cumin
  • 1 t oregano
  • 2 t chili powder

Preparation

Step 1

Saute garlic & onion in oil, add remaining ingredients & simmer 15 min.
Can be served hot over orzo or rice (or other pasta) topped with cheese & fresh cilantro.
Or serve as a dip
