Apple Cobler

Ingredients

  • 7 cups peeled, thinly sliced apples
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbs. lemon juice
  • 4 tbs. butter (1/4 cup)
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tbs. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baing powder
  • 1/4 cup chilled butter
  • 6 tbs. milk

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

Place the paples in a pan and sprinkle evenly with sugar and cinnamon. Drizzle on juice and butter and set aside. Combine the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder, and stir.

Cut the butter into cubes and drop into the flour mix, work until the mixture resembles crumbs. Slowly add milk, stirring with a fork and kneading dough 8-10 minutes until dough is fairly smooth. Roll dough and place over fruit. Drizzle with 2 tbs. melted butter and 2 tbs. sugar on top.

Bake 1 hour.
