Ingredients
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbs. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 1/2 c. fresh blueberries
- 1 Tbs. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
Step 1
Combine sugar, cornstarch and water in a 4-cup glass measuring cup. Add 1/2 c. of blueberries.
Microwave on High, uncovered, 2 to 3 minutes or until mixture boils and thickens, stirring once. Stir in butter, lemon juice, nutmeg and remaining blueberries. Serve warm or cold.
NOTE: Frozen blueberries can be substituted for fresh. Increase the cooking time to 3 to 4 minutes.
