Ingredients

  • 2 Medium Spanish Onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 T Butter
  • 2 1/2 C Water
  • 1 t Salt
  • 1/4 t Black Pepper
  • 2 C Potatoes, diced
  • 3 C Cabbage, shredded
  • 1 Lb Smoked Sausage
  • 3 C Whole Milk
  • 3 T Flour
  • Shredded Swiss Cheese for Garnish

Step 1

Melt butter in large sause pan and add onion. Saute 5 minutes until soft. Add water, salt, pepper and potatoes. Cover and boil, reduce to simmer and cook 10 minutes

Add cabbage and sausage. Simmer 15-20 minutes. Stir in 2 3/4 C milk.

Dissolve flour in remaining milk and add to mixture. Bring to boil and cook for 1-2 minutes until thickened.
