BUTTER CAKE BARS

Ingredients

  • 1 package white cake mix
  • 4 eggs, divided
  • 1-8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
  • 1/2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1-one pound pkg. powdered sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together cake mix, 2 eggs, and melted butter. Pour into greased 9x13” baking pan. Sift powdered sugar and set aside one-half cup. With electric mixer, mix until smooth cream cheese, 2 eggs and one pound powdered sugar (minus half cup from above). Spread over cake mixture in pan. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven 35-40 minutes. Do not over bake. Center will be slightly soft. Cool in pan. Sprinkle with one-half cup powdered sugar. Cut into bars to serve.
