- 8-10 eggs
- 1-1/2 pkgs. crackers
- 2 cups bread crumbs
- 1 lb. ground veal
- 1 lb. ground pork
- 1 pt. cream
- 2 onions
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 2 stalks of celery (chopped)
- 1 tsp minced fresh ginger/ 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- salt/pepper to taste
- 2 cloves garlic
Melt butter in fry pan and saute, onions, garlic, celery and ginger.
Pour off into bowl.
Fry up ground veal and pork. Add salt and pepper.
Add to the onion mixture.
Crush soda crackers then add with bread crumbs to meat and onion mixture.
Mix together with hands, until well blended.
Crack eggs in a bowl and beat. Add cream and beat again.
Add this mixture to meat and onion mixture. Blend well.
Stuff large turkey cavity with dressing.
Left over dressing can be placed in a loaf pan, topped with uncooked slices of bacon. Bake in oven.
