MOZZARELLA TARTS

Family friend, Julie Sutton Ponting, served these tarts during one of the spring visits that Peg, her children and Janet made to Julie's home. When the kids were young, they especially enjoyed making these tarts.

Ingredients
- 1 can (8 oz.) pizza sauce
- 1 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 loaf soft white or wheat bread
- 1/2 c. butter, melted
- 1 pressed garlic clove
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Combine pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese in bowl. Place 1 tsp. pizza sauce in center of bread. Fold bread in half. Cut and seal bread with 3-inch Cut-n-Seal. Repeat with remaining slices of bread. Place on a baking sheet or stone. Combined melted butter and garlic. Brush tops of tarts with garlic butter. Bake 12 - 15 minutes or until golden brown.
