Chocolate Topping That Hardens (Magic Shell)

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream light cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

In a small saucepan combine the butter with the next 4 ingredients; bring to a boil stirring constantly.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes stirring occasionally.

Stir in vanilla.

Cool for 20 minutes or more to thicken.

Drizzle on top of ice cream or completely frozen desserts, place in the freezer immediately after coating.

This will harden when drizzled on top of ice cream!… for a chocolate cinnamon flavor stir in 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon with the vanilla after cooking…
