Do you ever wonder how people get a boxed cake mix to taste so much like a made from scratch cake?
I did! And for the last several years I have been trying to master the technique.
And while I am not going to say that I have mastered it...I will say that my cakes, all made from a box, have tasted better and better and better with each and every tweak!

Sift it.
Yup...it's that simple!
Why you ask? Again, simple...
It eliminates the clumps!
And by doing so, it cuts down on mixing time, reduces the air holes in the mixture, reduces crumbs
and makes the texture of the cake more like a fine pound cake!
So...the next time you make a boxed cake mix, try sifting it! You won't be disappointed!
