Rice and Sausage Casserole

  • 1 pound sausage
  • 2/3 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/2 cup green onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup raw rice
  • 1 can tomatoe pureed
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste



Step 1

In a large skillet cook sausage over med. heat. Drain grease; saute celery and onions in butter. combine vegetables and sausage, rice, tomatoes, and beef broth together. mix well. Pour into a greased casserole dish. sprinkle with cheese. Bake uncovered at 400 for 50 minutes.
