Fresh Banana Cake w/Creamy Caramel Frosting

  • Cake
  • One box yellow cake mix
  • 2 bananas, mashed
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Caramel Frosting
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups sifted powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Cake:

Combine cake mix, egg water and oil as directed on box. Add brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and bananas. Mix well with mixer. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.



Frosting:

In a saucepan on medium heat, stir butter, milk and brown sugar together until it comes to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla and sugar, stirring briskly. Pour over cake; sets up quickly!
