Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry (from 17 0z box of 2), thawed
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 14 oz round Brie
  • 1/3 cup dried fruit
  • 1/4 cup preserves

Preparation

Step 1

1. Unfold pastry and roll into 14 inch square. Cut an 8 1/2 inch square. Trim to round off corners. Using top of cheese box as guide, cut a circle out of remaining pastry. Brush square and circle with egg glaze.
2. Cut Brie in half horizontally. Remove top. Sprinkle fruit evenly over bottom. Replace top and press down. Spread preserves on top of Brie and flip onto center of square.
3. Starting at one rounded corner, bring pastry up and over the cheese.
4. Place circle, glaze side down, on top. Press gently. Place circle side down on cookie sheet. Glaze and decorate. Can be wrapped and refrigerated up to 3 days.
5. Heat oven to 400. Bake 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool up to 1 hour.
