- 2 1/2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 cup pecans (broken into pieces by hand)
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup cooking oil
- 2 cups fresh cooking apples (peeled and diced)
- 3 eggs
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9 x 13 pan with aluminum foil.
DO NOT use a mixer for this recipe.
By hand mix together apples, pecans, and flour. In another bowl, by hand mix together eggs, sugar, and oil. Add the liquid mixture to the bowl of dry ingredients. With hands mix until well blended. Pour into the lined pan. Spread mixture evenly in pan. Cook at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Test for doneness since time may vary with different ovens.
