Herb stuffing (slow cooker)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 3 celery ribs, chopped
  • 1/2 c. chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 t. chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 t. chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 t. chopped fresh sage
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 loaf stale sourdough bread cut into 1" cubes
  • 2 c. chicken broth*

Preparation

Step 1

1) saute onions and celery in butter for 10 minutes. remove from heat and stir in herbs and seasonings

2) place bread cubes in large bowl. ad onion mix. add enough of the broth to moisten. mix well and put in greased cooker

3) cover; cook high 1 hour. reduce to low and cook 3-4 more hours
