Apple Crisp

Ingredients

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees, prepare a 2 quart baking dish, about 2 inches deep. Peel and cover:
  • 2 1/2 2 ½ lbs. apples, cut in half and then in chunks
  • Spread the apples evenly on a baking dish and combine:
  • 3/4 ¾ cup flour
  • 3/4 ¾ cup sugar
  • Salt
  • 1/2 ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 ¼ tsp. nutmeg
  • Add:
  • 8 tbs. cold butter, cut into small pieces

Preparation

Step 1

Cut butter into the dry ingredients until the mix resembles coarse crumbs. Scatter the topping evenly over the fruit. Top the dish to settle fruit and crumbs; bake until golden and bubbly; 50 – 55 minutes.
