Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c prunes chopped
- 1 c unbleached flour
- 1 c wheat pastry flour
- 1 c sugar
- 1 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1/2 c oil
- 3 eggs
- 2/3 c liquid
- Crumb Topping
- 1/2 c sugar
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 3/4 c walnuts, chopped

Preparation
Step 1
Cover prunes with water and heat to soften
Drain, reserving 2/3 cup liquid
Add water to bring to 2/3 if necessary
Sift dry ingredients
Add liquid & oil
Mix to blend
Beat 2 minutes
Add eggs
Beat 1 minute
Stir in prunes
Pour into prepared 9 x 13 x 2 pan (grease or spray pan and use parchment on bottom) (grease or spray both pan and parchment paper)
Sprinkle with toppping
Topping directions:
Combine sugar, flour, butter until crumbly
Add chopped nuts
Spread on batter in pan
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes
NOTE: You can use all unbleached white flour, if desired, instead of half white and half wheat
