Ingredients
- 1 1/2 butter, softened
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 3 c. sugar
- 2 t. grated lemon peel
- 6 eggs, room temperature
- 1 t. vanilla
- 3 c. flour
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 325. Grease and flour a 10" fluted tube pan. In a lg. bowl, beat together butter and cream cheese. Add sugar and lemon peel; beat with an electric mixer until well combined. Add eggs, one at a time, beating 1 minute after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Gradually add flour, beating until combined.
Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake about 1 1/4 hours or until a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 20 minutes. Remove from pan; cool thoroughly.
