This version of the recipe came into the family via Lois Dunkel, one of the aunts of Jeanine's husband, Don.

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 8 slices square sandwich bread
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 8 oz. grated cheese (Colby or American)
  • 8 oz. shaved ham (or crumbled bacon
  • or sliced sausage)
  • 2 c. milk

Preparation

Step 1

Beat eggs, add dry mustard, salt, milk. Tear bread in pieces, add cheese and ham to mixture. Pour mixture into a well greased 9 x 13" pan. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 - 60 minutes.
