Ingredients
- 1/4 Lb. Bacon, cooked and diced
- 2 Medium Onions, thinly sliced
- 4 Medium Potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1/2 Lb. Sharp Cheddar Cheese, sliced or shredded
- Butter
- Green Onions, optional
Preparation
Step 1
Line Crock Pot with aluminum foil, leaving enough to cover the potatoes when finished. This will help to not stick and to steam the potatoes--also keeps them from getting discolored or becoming mushy. Layer half of each of the potatoes, onions, and bacon. Season with salt and pepper and dot with butter. Repeat layers. Cover with remaining foil. Cook on low for up to 6 hours (check after 4 hours). Add cheese for the last 20-30 hours and enjoy.
