Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup oleo
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons grated lemon peel, if desired

Step 1
Preheat oven to 300.
Mix flour, oleo, and 1/4 cup powdered sugar thoroughly. Press evenly in ungreased square pan, building up 1/2" edges. Bake 20 minutes. Beat remaining ingredients except powdered sugar until light and fluffy about 3 minutes. Pour over hot crust. Bake just until no indentation remains when touched in center, about 25 minutes longer; cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into about 1 1/2" squares.
