  • 6 medium potatoes
  • 2 Tablespoons flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 Tablespoons chooped onion
  • 3 Tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • Grated cheese optional

Preparation

Step 1

Peal potatoes,slice thin.
Make white sauce of butter, flour and milk.
Put 1/2 the potatoes in greased 2 quart casserole, cover with 1/2 the sauce, seasoning and onion. Add remaining potatoes, seasonings and onionand remaining sauce.
Cover and bake at 350 degrees about 1 hour. Uncover and continue baking until top is brown.
Grated cheese may be added to hite sauce.

Makes 4-6 servings.
