Peg's Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. slightly thawed frozen hashbrowns
  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions*
  • 1 can chicken soup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 sticks margarine

Preparation

Step 1

* Heat the chopped onions in the chicken soup (do not add water) for 1 -2 minutes. Mix together hashbrowns, cheese, sour cream, warmed soup and onions. Add salt and pepper. Mix well. Melt a stick of margarine and mix into blended ingredients. Pour into baking dish and spread to even out the mixture. Melt the second stick of margarine and gentle pour over the potato mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
