Kale Chips

  • 1 bunch kale (about 1 lb, 450 g)
  • 2 Tbs (30 ml) olive oil
  • Grated Parmesan or Romano cheese to taste (optional)
  • Salt to taste

Step 1

Trim the kale leaves, removing the thick stems and tearing the leaves into bite-size pieces. Toss with the olive oil to coat lightly but thoroughly and arrange in a single layer on baking sheets. Sprinkle with grated cheese of desired and bake in a preheated 350F (180C) oven until the kale is crisp and slightly browned around the edges. Sprinkle with salt while still warm and allow to cool to room temperature. Serves 4 to 6 as a snack.
