Ingredients
- 3 large bell peppers, any color, halved lengthwise and seeded
- 1 lb chicken Italian sausage, casing removed
- 1 cup instant rice
- 1 jar (26 oz) Italian Classics Italian Sausage sauce or spaghetti sauce
- 1/3 cup onion, chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 T chopped, fresh oregano
- ½ cup Romano grated cheese

Preparation
Step 1
Mix sausage with rice, 1 cup sauce, onion, egg and oregano
Stuff peppers with sausage mixture
Place peppers, skin side down in a microwave dish. Pour remaining sauce over peppers
Microwave, covered on High for 20 minutes
Uncover, sprinkle pepper with cheese, re-cover and let stand for 5 min. before serving
Each stuffed pepper half contains 316 calories
