Ingredients
- 3 lbs Apples
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 to 4 T. of sugar
- 3/4 cup water
- fresh lemon juice

Step 1
1. Peel and core apples; cut into 1/2 inch thick slices. (try mixing Gala, Golden delicious and McIntosh) In a large saucepan combine apples with cinnamon stick, sugar and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer, stirring occasionally until apples are tender, 30 to 35 minutes. If sauce starts sticking to the bottom then add a few more tablespoons of water.
2. Remove from heat; discard cinnamon stick. Stir in 2 tsp fresh lemon juice.
