BITTERSWEET CHOCOLATE COATED TRUFFLES

Ingredients

  • 1 bar (4 oz.) Ghiradelli bittersweet chocolate
  • (I use 3/4 c. Ghiradelli bittersweet chips)
  • 2 Tbs. butter, cut-up
  • 2 Tbs. heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 to 2 Tbs. liqueur, any flavor

Preparation

Step 1

Microwave chocolate 2 1/2-3 minutes on medium. Stir until melted; blend in butter. Stir in cream, then liqueur. Chill 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently until thick enough to hold a shape. Drop by heaping teaspoon or #70 scoop onto foil-lined pan. Shape round, if desired. Cover and chill at least 2 hours to set truffles for dipping with chocolate.
