Ingredients

  • 2 c slivered almonds
  • 2&1/2 c butter
  • 2 c sugar
  • 1/4 c water
  • 3 T corn syrup
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 6 oz chocolate
  • 11 x 17 pan

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter, stir in sugar, water & corn syrup until sugar commpletely dissolved.
Let boil without stirring for 15 minutes.
Remove from heat, add 1 cup almonds & vanilla.

Pour & spread onto greased cookie sheet.
Add chocolate on top, once melted spread.
Then spread the other cup almonds over this.

Let cool and crack into bits.
