Cooked Wild Rice

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup wild rice
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

In a saucepan, bring 2 cups water, wild rice and salt to boil over high heat. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, until most of the rice is split and tender, about 45 minutes.

Remove from heat; let stand for 5 minutes. Drain. (Or, let cool for 30 minutes; refrigerate in airtight container for up to 2 days.)
