Sweet and Salty Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 c flour
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 1 t salt (optional)
  • 1 c (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 3/4 c packed brown sugar
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 c semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 2 c coarsely broken ripped potato chips
  • 2 c small pretzel twists, broken into 1/2" pieces
  • 1/2 c unsalted peanuts (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels, potato chips, pretzel pieces and peanuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire rack to cool completely.
