French Toast

Ingredients
- 5 Eggs
- 2 1/2 tablespoons Sugar salt
- 5/8 teaspoon Cinnamon if desired
- 1 1/4 cups Milk
- 2 1/2 tablespoons Butter or margarine
- 10 sl Bread

Step 1
Heat griddle to medium heat.
In shallow bowl or pie pan, combie all ingredients except butter and bread; mix well.
Melt butter on griddle.
Dip bread in egg mixture, turning to soak both sides.
Cook on griddle over medium heat, about 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
If desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
To make ahead:
Dip bread in egg mixutre, place in 13x9 in ch glass baking dish. Pour any remaining egg mixture over bread. Cover and refrigerate 8 to 12 hours. Use a pancake turner to remove bread slices to hot griddle; continue as directed. SOURCE: Pillsbury Kitchens'' Family Cookbook, 1979. NYC
