LEMON PULL-APARTS

Ingredients

  • 12 frozen dinner rolls, thawed
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 lemon peels, grated
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbs. lemon juice
  • 1 Tbs. butter, melted

Preparation

Step 1

Thaw rolls until soft (about 2 hrs. at room temperature). Mix grated lemon rind with sugar. Cut rolls in half and place in greased 9x13-inch pan. Pour 1/4 cup melted butter over rolls. Sprinkle with lemon rind/sugar mixture, reserving 1/2 of mixture to sprinkle on just before baking. Cover with plastic wrap that has been sprayed with non-stick spray. Let rise until double in size. Remove wrap. Sprinkle on remaining lemon rind-sugar mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Citrus Glaze: Combine powdered sugar, 1 Tbs. butter and lemon juice; mix. Cover warm rolls with glaze.
