Praline Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 (16 oz) pkg dark brown sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 cups plain flour, divided
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter. Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Combine 2 1/2 cups flour, baking powder and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture with milk, beginning and ending with flour. Dredge pecans in remaining 1/2 cup of flour. Stir pecans and vanilla into batter. Flour and grease tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, 15 minutes.
