By pbaumgartner

Ingredients
- Mix and rest 15 minutes until foamy:
- 3 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 c. oil
- 2/3 c. sugar or 1/2 c. honey
- 6 Tbs. yeast
- Add with batter beater at #2 speed until mixed thoroughly:
- 1 Tbs. salt
- 3 eggs
- 10 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
Preparation
Step 1
Shape the dough immediately into rolls, cinnamon rolls or hamburger buns. For hamburger buns, pat to 3/4 inch thickness and cut with appropriate sized glass or cutter. For hot dog buns, cut with a butter dish. Let rise about 10 minutes and bake for 10 minutes at 425°.
Variation: For dinner rolls, add 2 c. less flour and spoon into greased muffin tins. Dough will be quite soft and spoonable. Let rise and bake as before. Makes 5 -6 dozen.
NOTE: A yeasty taste does not result from too much yeast, but from the yeast being too warm. Less yeast may be used in this recipe, but the rising time will be longer.
