Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • Few grains of salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Combine egg whites, sugar, salt, cream of tartar and water; place in the top of a double boiler over boiling water. Beat with a rotary beater about seven minutes or until frosting holds its shape. Add the vanilla. This will frost an 8" two-layer cake.
