German Chocolate Cake
- 1 1/3 cup flaked coconut
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 pkg. german chocolate cake mix
- 1 (8oz) pkg. cream cheese-softened
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine-softened
- 1 egg
- 4 cups confectioners sugar
Sprinkle coconut & pecans into greased & floured 13x9x2 baking dish. Prepare cake mix as directed, pour batter into prepared pan.
In mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add egg and sugar; beat until smooth. Drop by tablespoonfuls over the batter. Carefully spread to within 1" of edges.
Bake at 325 for 55-60 min. or until toothpick in center comes out clean. Cool for 10 min. then move to serving tray.
