Ingredients

  • 3-4 lbs of chuck roast
  • 1/2 tsp. of salt
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 small onion , chopped
  • 1 C. sweet pickle juice
  • 3 Tbs. steak sauce
  • 4 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. dried mustard
  • 2 Tbs. cornstarch
  • 1/2 C. water

Preparation

Step 1

Rub meat with salt and garlic. Place chopped onion on top of meat. Mix pickle juice, steak sauce, Worcestshire, and mustard; pour over meat and marinate overnight. Throw in crock pot or oven at 325 for 3.5 hours. Spoon off excess fat. Mix cornstarch, and water with drippings to make a gravy if desired. Spoon over meat.
