Skinny Pumpkin Cream Cheese Bar

Ingredients

  • 1 box angel food cake mix (1- step kind)
  • 1-15 ounce can pumpkin
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1-8 ounce reduced-fat cream cheese
  • Few tablespoons water

Preparation

Step 1

Soften cream cheese and then beat it with a couple of tablespoons water until smooth.

In a separate bowl, mix the cake mix, pumpkin, water and cinnamon until smooth.

In a 9x13- inch pan, sprayed with non-stick cooking spray, place 1/2 of the cake mixture. Smooth it out well with a rubber spatula. Drizzle 1/2 of the cream cheese over the top of the cake mixture and smooth it with a small spatula. Add remaining cake mixture, followed by the remaining cream cheese, making layers. With a butter knife, go over the top of the cake, making figure 8's to blend a bit.

Bake for 35 minutes at 375 degrees or until a toothpick comes out clean.
