Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1/2 cup peanut butter
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 1/2 firmly packed brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 1/2 tsp vanilla
• 1 cup flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

. Cream the shortening and peanut butter with the white and brown sugar
2. Add the egg and blend
3. Add the remaining ingredients and blend thoroughly.
4. Roll inot balls and place on a cookie sheet.
5. Press with a fork.
6. Bake at 375 until just gloden around the edge.

Hint : For a chewy cookie cook for a slightly shorter time.
