Ingredients

  • 3 cans good quality beans with pork (19 oz cans)
  • 1/2 lb bacon (sliced in 1 inch pieces)
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3/4 cup cooking molasses
  • 1/3 bottle of chili sauce
  • 1 teaspon dry mustard

Preparation

Step 1

Place bacon pieces and chopped onion in skillet and cook until onions are tender and bacon is cooked but not crisp. With a strainer spoon, scoop the cooked onion and bacon onto a plate lined with paper towel to absorb the excess grease.

In a crock pot, put all ingredients and stir gently to mix together. Cook over low heat until mixtures is bubbling and heated through.
