Overnight Apple Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 4 cups skim or 2% milk
  • 4 tablespoons honey, or 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups dry rolled oats
  • 2 cups apples, chopped
  • 1 cup fat-free half-and-half

Preparation

Step 1

Spray inside of slow cooker with cooking spray.

In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except half-and-half. Pour into cooker.

Cover and cook on low overnight, ideally 6-8 hours. The oatmeal is ready to eat in the morning.

Stir in the half-and-half just before serving.
