Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon plain dry bread
  • crumbs
  • 1 package Lawry's® Taco Spices
  • & Seasonings
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 8 (6-inch) submarine rolls,
  • toasted
  • 8 lettuce leaves

Preparation

Step 1

1. Mix ground beef, bread crumbs and 1 tablespoon of the Taco Seasoning Mix in medium bowl until well blended. Shape into 24 meatballs.
2. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat. Brown meatballs; drain fat. Stir in tomato sauce and remaining Taco Seasoning Mix. Bring to boil on high heat. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. 3. To serve, line rolls with lettuce. Top with meatballs. Top with assorted toppings, if desired.
