Honey Fried Chicken

remember these hints: As the chicken cooks, it's gonna look like it burned, because the honey carmalizes. Also, don't let them sit around once you'ce coated them. The honey starts to run off of the chicken, so cook them right away.

Ingredients

  • makes 8 pieces
  • 1 (4 pound)whole chicken, cut into pieces
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 packet chicken bouillon granules
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 quart vegetable oil for frying

Preparation

Step 1

1.Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then coat each seasoned chicken piece with honey.

2.In a shallow dish or bowl, mix together the garlic powder, chicken bouillon granules and flour. Dredge honey coated chicken pieces in flour mixture, coating completely.

3.Fill a large, heavy skillet with oil to a depth of one inch. Heat over medium-high heat.

4.Fry chicken for at least 5 minutes per side, until no longer pink and juices run clear.
