  • 1 lb of lean ground beef
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1/2 small or boiling onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlec, minced
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmigiano
  • 1/2 cup of Italion bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of beef broth or dry red wine
  • 1 can of crushed tomatoes (28)
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 sprigs fresh oregano (3/4 tsp)
  • 2 tsp of chili powder
  • A palmful chopped fresh flat leaf parsley
  • 3/4 lb spagetti, cooked al dente about 8 min
  • Grated Parmigiano cheese and garlic bread

Step 1

Combine meat egg, onion, garlic, grated cheese, bread crumbs, and a little pepper in a bowl.
Heat a deep nonstick skillet over medium high heat and drizzle in oil. Roll small balls and drop into hot pan. when all the meat is rolled and inthe pan give the pan a gooe shake and cover Cook meatballs for 8 min giving the pan a good shake freg
Add broth or wine and let reduce for 1 to2 min. Add tomatoes and red pepper flakes then oregano and parsley. Simmer until pasta is ready
